CORTEX
It is not a chat window parked next to your software. Cortex reads the record a crew already has open — the call in dispatch, the chart on the tablet, the claim in the queue — and it answers about that record, under exactly the permissions the person signed in already has.
Which means it is useful at the moment something can still be fixed: while the chart is open, before the claim is sent, on the screen in front of you rather than in a report about it next month.
WHAT THIS PAGE IS
Each section below is interactive and each one describes behaviour that exists in the product today. Where a mechanic is what makes the claim true, the mechanic is printed underneath it.
Handling posture
HIPAA Aligned
Operating posture only. HIPAA has no federal certification program, so "HIPAA-aligned" (not "HIPAA certified" or "HIPAA compliant") is the accurate framing per the project's own public-copy rule.
CORTEX CAUGHT IT
Three things Cortex finds inside the record itself, while the record can still be fixed by the person who made it.
As a medic writes, Cortex reports the fields the record is missing, ranked by how badly each one hurts — information, warning, or blocking. Not a red asterisk at the end. A named field, with the reason it is required.
How it is enforced. Each finding has to name the rule it came from and point to it. A finding that cannot cite its source is not a finding, and the panel has nowhere to render it.
ASK CORTEX
Four questions Cortex answers today, and what each one actually does underneath.
It names the thing it wants to show you. The server decides whether this agency has that application and whether the person signed in is allowed to see it, then answers with what to open.
How it is enforced. If the agency does not have the application, the refusal says that specifically. A policy decision is reported as a policy decision, never flattened into a generic failure.
WATCH CORTEX WORK
The chart review Cortex runs on an open record — every step, in order, with nothing skipped over.
STEP ONE
Cortex is not listening in the background. The loop begins because a chart is open in front of a clinician, and it ends when that chart closes.
How it is enforced. The panel is mounted by the chart. No chart, no request, nothing sent.
CORTEX ACROSS THE RECORD
The call, the chart and the claim are the same record. Cortex follows it instead of being re-briefed at every handoff.
The dispatch surface announces itself and announces the incident it currently holds, so Cortex knows which call you are on without being told and without inspecting the page.
How it is enforced. A surface declares its application, its screen, and the record in focus. That declaration is the only thing Cortex reads.
GOVERNANCE
An assistant that can quietly do more than the person operating it is not a feature. Cortex is deliberately built so that it cannot.
Every action Cortex takes is checked by the server against the same rules that check a person: who is signed in, what this agency has, and what this role may do. A refusal comes back with the real reason, so a policy decision is never dressed up as a fault.
What Cortex is allowed to reason over is tenant-isolated, and the browser cannot widen that set. If the server did not offer something, Cortex cannot ask for it.
Prompts are PHI-redacted, and each capability is RBAC-gated independently — being allowed to read is not being allowed to act.
Cortex writes to the audit log like any other actor, so an answer can be traced back afterwards. It runs inside your own AdaptixCore tenant: your data, your costs, your record of what happened.

The live demo puts you inside a real AdaptixCore agency of your own with Cortex beside you. No sign-up form stands between you and the product.
